The Plain English Institute issued its first certification on May 15, 2020. PEI certified the home inspection agreement used by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) as meeting its plain English certification standards and authorized InterNACHI to use PEI’s certification mark.
InterNACHI is a nonprofit trade association with more than 25,000 members. InterNACHI’s founder, Nick Gromicko, said, “InterNACHI is proud to be at the forefront of the plain English movement. Our members love our plain English contract and potential customers find it less intimidating and easier to understand.”
